For physicians who are already billing OHIP with another service, setup is typically completed within about one week once all authorizations are in place.

For new physicians, setup can take approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on Ministry of Health processing times.

To begin working with RelyCare, the following steps are required:

OHIP Billing Number
The physician must have a billing number registered with the Ministry of Health.
Estimated timeline: 4–8 weeks (new physicians only)
MCEDT Account & Designee Authorization:
The physician grants RelyCare access as a billing designee through MCEDT / GO Secure.
Estimated timeline: under 1 hour once access is available
RelyCare System Setup
We configure your practice in our billing system, review your services, and prepare claims workflows.
Estimated timeline: approximately 1 week

Once setup is complete, we can begin submitting and managing claims on your behalf immediately.

Yes. We regularly support new physicians with billing setup, authorization, and early billing guidance to ensure a smooth and compliant start.

Yes. We review rejected and unpaid claims, identify the cause, correct errors, and resubmit where permitted under OHIP rules to improve recovery.
